SOLMUNDSON GESTA HUS B&B AND WELLNESS CENTER

Hecla Hecla2 Hecla3 Hecla4

Dave & Sharon Holtz

Dave & Sharon Holtz are your hosts at the "gesta hus"(guest house in Icelandic) which is situated on 43 acres of private property in Hecla Provincial Park, located next to the church at the north end of historic Hecla Village. A hearty, full hot breakfast is included and in the style of Icelandic hospitality the coffee pot is always "on".

As our guest you are encouraged to socialize with us and fellow guests but if privacy is what you desire we will respect that. You are welcome to relax and watch the sunrise on the verandah, the sunset from the gazebo and to do some stargazing while lounging in the outdoor hot tub. You can also watch an extraordinary number of birds and other wildlife passing through the property. Guests are usually greeted by our resident cats, Odin & Loki.

Sharon is a Reiki Master and can offer you a variety of wellness sessions. Dave is a commercial fisherman and will be delighted to share his stories with you.

Be sure to bring your fishing equipment, bathing suits, golf clubs, hiking boots, and to consult with us to ensure you enjoy all the facilities of the park, including the beaches, hiking trails, interpretive programs, and one of Canada's finest golf courses in summer; cross country ski trails, ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter.
